Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 81.4 percent of Glenbard West High School's (GWHS) 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.
The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.
For GWHS, its college enrollment rate remains unchanged since 2014.
The data, collected by the National Student Clearinghouse, includes two- and four-year colleges.
Enrollment at GWHS in 2015 was 2,313; 589 (25.46 percent) were seniors.
Also according to ISBE, 65.6 percent of GWHS seniors were "college ready" in 2015, versus an average of 46 percent statewide.
All students who score a 21 on the ACT qualify as "college ready."
GWHS students did better on math (58.8 percent) and English (72.3 percent) and worse on science (53.7 percent) and reading (58.1 percent).
Only 44.4 percent of GWHS students were college ready in all four subjects, according to ISBE.
Among high schools in DuPage, the class of 2015 college readiness rates at Naperville Central High School (77.4 percent), Naperville North High School (77 percent), Wheaton North High School (71.3 percent), Glenbard South High School (64.3 percent) and Wheaton Warrenville South High School (63.9 percent) were all higher than at GWHS. Willowbrook High School (49.8 percent), Woodstock High School (54 percent), Nashville Community High School (54.9 percent) and Lisle High School (63.4 percent) were all lower.
