Asphalt resurfacing, paving and patching is underway on St. Charles Road from Westmore-Meyers Road to Grace Street and on Grace Street from Prairie Avenue to Ash Street in the village of Lombard.
Nightly lane closures will be necessary.
Structure adjustments in roadway and replacement of driveway aprons (sidewalk to curb) due to damage from construction activity is underway.
On Friday, Aug. 14, grinding of the existing surface layer of asphalt pavement will take place on Grace Street (north and south of tracks) at East St. Charles Road.
On Monday, Aug. 17 through Wednesday, Aug. 19, delays are expected from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. During this interval, placement of a final surface curse will occur on East St. Charles Road (Westmore-Meyers Road to South Grace Street) and on Grace Street (Prairie Avenue to Ash Street).
Drivers are reminded to drive with caution during this time frame.
