The village of Lombard Pride Committee convened its first official meeting this month to discuss and explore options for a new annual community festival and recommend that surveys be issued to gather information on events held in neighboring communities.
The committee hopes to determine the level of interest among community groups for a future festival or event by seeking input from local community and civic organizations on their interest in involvement or operation of a festival. The survey has been distributed to Lombard-based groups.
Those community groups or organizations interested in participating in the survey or wishing to become involved with the new festival should complete the survey with associated documents by Monday. Information should be submitted to village hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave., or by emailing BauerC@VillageofLombard.org.
The survey is available on the village's website at www.VillageofLombard.org/pridesurvey.
