The uncertain nature of the status of the 2016 Illinois state budget has led to concern at the local level.
The Illinois Municipal League is providing information aimed at providing general background information on the budget. The Illinois Municipal League is also strongly encouraging state leaders to work together to reach a compromise on the state budget as soon as possible.
Also, the DuPage Mayors & Managers Conference has launched a Fast Action website giving residents the opportunity to learn more about the Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF) issue. The website is intended to create public understanding of the impacts that residents could experience if Oak Brook looses up to 50 percent of LGDF funding.
