The City of St. Charles, Illinois, 2015 Annual Water Quality Report is now available for the public to view.

The city's tap water once again has met all of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) drinking water health standards. The water is tested daily in accordance with stringent EPA regulations to ensure all drinking water is safe and meets or exceeds all water quality standards as listed in the Safe Drinking Act.

The water quality report specifically describes and explains the source of the drinking water; EPA regulations and health goals for drinking water; list of detected contaminants and their levels; potential health effects of any contaminant detected at a level that violates EPA health standards; and information about microbial contaminants for people with weakened immune systems.

The report is available for viewing on the city website at www.stcharlesil.gov/water-quality-report.
