A public information meeting hosted by DuPage County Stormwater Management is scheduled for 6 p.m. May 19 to discuss the draft Spring Brook No. 1 Watershed Plan at the county's JTK Administration Building, Room 1-500B, 412 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.
Meeting attendees will learn more about the data that assisted in forming the draft document, as well as the proposed recommendations. Also, attendees can provide feedback and input on the draft plan, which provides an in-depth overview of factors contributing to water quality throughout the watershed, including recommendations such as local practices and large-scale projects to reduce impairments.
The county began studying the Spring Brook No. 1 Watershed, which consists of portions of Wheaton, Warrenville and Glen Ellyn, to identify areas in need of water-quality improvements.
The draft plan will remain open for public comment through May 20.
