Congressional field hearing in the works to tackle O'Hare noise concerns

A congressional field hearing will take place soon to discuss the noise generated by Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) recently announced the news of the meeting, which will be held locally and attended by congressional members.

The details, date and location of the meeting have not been finalized yet.

In other news, the Suburban O’Hare Commission introduced two consultant teams on April 1. The teams will be responsible for providing expert advice, technical data, recommendations and advocacy for communities impacted by O’Hare noise, along with other issues.

The consultant teams are comprised of Lockridge, Grindal, Nauen and JDA Aviation Technology Solutions.
