Job fair announced for DuPage County workers and area businesses

State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton), in collaboration with Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) and State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett), has announced an upcoming Job Fair. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28th, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fountain View Recreation Center, located at 910 N. Gary Avenue, Carol Stream, IL.

Juvenile charged with arson at Villa Park recreation facility

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin and Villa Park Chief Michael Rivas announced today that a Villa Park juvenile has been accused of breaking into Jefferson Pool, a recreation facility located at 341 North Harvard Avenue, and setting fire to a desk in the office portion of the facility. Judge denies bail for man accused of firing gun during domestic dispute

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin and Glendale Heights Chief of Police George Pappas announced today that Judge Joshua Dieden has granted the State’s motion to deny pre-trial release for a Glendale Heights man charged with firing a gun into the air and then leading police on a high-speed chase. Elexei Garcia, 34, of the 100 block of Wrightwood Avenue, appeared in First Appearance Court this morning charged with one count of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer (Class 4 Felony) and one count of Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony).
