Olsen cheers law to allow more green recycling in townships

Illinois townships will now be able to recycle leaves, wood chips and brush from unincorporated areas rather than add to the growing pile of garbage woes, Rep. David S. Olsen (R-Downers Grove) said in a press release.

Eighteen of suburban Chicago’s 200 highest tax-paying commercial properties are in DuPage County, according to a Local Government Information Services (LGIS) analysis of property tax data from the Cook County Treasurer. Collectively, these 18 properties contributed $27.88 million to DuPage County’s public funds, which go towards municipal salaries and local school districts.
