Sarah Cernugel, former Hinsdale Central High School standout’s collegiate team plays on Friday, March 21 in Division I NCAA Basketball Championship Tournament

On Friday, March 21, former Hinsdale Central High School standout Sarah Cernugel’s current collegiate team the Notre Dame Fighting Irish won 106-54 against the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Purcell Pavilion, this was the first game against the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks during the championship.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s next game will take place on Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. in Purcell Pavilion against Michigan Wolverines.

Sarah Cernugel’s hometown is Westmont and game position is guard.
