Roselle has announced a series of community events and updates for residents throughout July and August. The next Plaza Concert Series is scheduled for July 23, featuring Disco Circus and food from Dave's Holy Smokes BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, and Delish Cakes. The Taste of Roselle will take place from July 31 to August 2, inviting the community to what is described as the best block party of the summer. Coffee with the Board is set for August 1 at Village Hall at 10:00 a.m., offering residents an opportunity to meet with local elected officials. National Night Out will be held on August 4 at Petal Plaza, hosted by the Roselle Police Department. The rescheduled Independence Day fireworks show is planned for August 15. The next Village Board meeting is on July 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall, with live comments accepted from in-person attendees during the meeting.

The Village also highlighted public safety initiatives, including emergency alerts through Nixle. Residents can sign up for free text and email alerts about severe weather and road closures. Cooling centers are available at the Roselle Police Department lobby, Roselle Fire Department lobby, Roselle Public Library District, Roselle Village Hall, and Clauss Recreation Center during normal operating hours.

On July 14 at 1:24 p.m., the Roselle Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 7N700 block of Hawthorne Lane in Medinah. "Smoke was visible from the roof when the first fire suppression units arrived on scene. Roselle FD crews stretched a hoseline and initiated an aggressive interior attack on the fire. Crews quickly confined the fire and searched the home for anyone inside. No one was home at the time of the fire, but crews did rescue multiple animals. The animals were quickly treated by paramedics. One firefighter was transported to an area hospital for a heat-related illness," according to the Village of Roselle. Firefighters from Bloomingdale, Glenside, Hanover Park, West Chicago, Winfield, Wheaton, and York Center fire departments, as well as Hanover Township Emergency Services, assisted during the fire. Additional resources were dispatched due to weather conditions and the distance to fire hydrants. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Roselle Fire Investigation Team, and the scene has been turned back over to the owner.

The Roselle Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched the "Beefing Up Our Website" raffle to raise funds for website upgrades. The prize package includes a premium assortment of meats and a deep freezer. Proceeds will help enhance the Chamber's digital presence and support local businesses. Tickets can be purchased online.

The Bloomingdale-Roselle Rotary Club will host a Family Feud Game Night on September 19 at the Bloomingdale Park District JRC.
