Q4 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Will County?
There were 82 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2020 that live in Will County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that 79 men and three women were released in Will County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2020, and the oldest was a 71-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 1992.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Vincent Boggan. He was convicted of a property crime in 1989 when he was 22 years old. He is now 54.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
