Q1 2018 parolees recap: who was paroled in Woodridge?
There were seven offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Woodridge zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that six men and one women were released in Woodridge. The median age of the parolees was 31. The youngest parolee is a 24-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest is a 40-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Shama L. Yamagata. She was convicted of financial crimes or fraud in 2016 when she was 30 years old. She is now 33.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
