North Park's Vanlandingham earns CCIW weekly honor after triple-overtime win

North Park University guard Kolden Vanlandingham has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. This recognition follows his performance in a triple-overtime game where he scored 39 points, leading North Park to a 115-114 victory over Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday in Chicago.

Vanlandingham, a senior from Richmond, Indiana, played 53 minutes and was instrumental in North Park's comeback after trailing by 17 points in the first half. He scored 24 of his career-high 39 points after halftime. He also set a new personal best for made field goals, shooting 14-for-23 overall and 5-for-10 from three-point range.

In addition to his scoring, Vanlandingham contributed a career-high 10 assists, along with three rebounds and two steals. During the third overtime period, he made a deep three-pointer in the final seconds that brought North Park within one point and helped set up the decisive play.

The CCIW continues to recognize standout performances throughout its men’s basketball season. Previous recipients this season include Noah Cleveland from Illinois Wesleyan (Nov. 24), Mike Vuckovic from North Park (Nov. 17), and Lane Thomann from Millikin (Nov. 11).
