North Central's Dasia Yearby named CCIW women's wrestling student-athlete of the week
North Central College senior Dasia Yearby has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement follows her performance at the NWCA National Duals in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where she competed for the third-ranked Cardinals.
Yearby participated in the 207-pound weight class and secured two victories during the tournament. Her most significant contribution came during the semifinal against top-ranked Iowa. North Central was trailing 21-18 going into the final match when Yearby achieved a fall at 1:38 in the first period, resulting in a 23-21 win for North Central.
