Illinois State Representative Amy Grant announced on March 13 that all appointment slots for the upcoming Mobile Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) event scheduled for March 25 in Wheaton have been filled. No additional registrations can be accepted at this time due to high demand.

The strong response to the event highlights the community's interest in accessible DMV services. Grant said, "Thank you to everyone who signed up for our Mobile DMV event on March 25th in Wheaton! Due to high demand, all appointment slots are now full and no additional registrations can be accepted at this time."

Grant also addressed future plans, stating, "We’re thrilled by the strong response and will work to bring more events like this to our community in the future. Stay tuned for updates!" Residents with questions are encouraged to contact her office at (331) 218-4182.

Grant, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state's 47th House District, replacing previous state representative Deanne Mazzochi.

The popularity of this event may lead to similar initiatives being organized in the future as local officials respond to community needs.
