Millikin University junior guard Lane Thomann has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office.

Thomann, who is from Mackinaw, Illinois, averaged 31 points and 10.5 rebounds over two games last week. He made 63 percent of his field goal attempts and shot 52.6 percent from three-point range.

In a game against Knox on December 31, Thomann scored 28 points and collected eight rebounds in a 92-80 win, making five out of seven shots from beyond the arc. Later in the week, he recorded a double-double with 34 points and 13 rebounds in a narrow loss to Augustana, adding five three-pointers.

Over both games, Thomann also had four steals and played a total of 69 minutes. This marks his second time being named CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week during the current season.
