Former Willowbrook High School standout Max Vaisvila helped propel Northern Illinois Huskies to a 5-1 win over the Miami RedHawks in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

The contest was played at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park. This marked the teams' second meeting of the season, with the Huskies previously securing a 17-13 victory against the RedHawks on Friday, March 20.

Vaisvila pitched nine innings, surrendering one earned run, walking one batter, and striking out five.

Northern Illinois is scheduled to play the RedHawks again at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park on Sunday, March 22.
