Marian's Delanie Vogt earns CCIW women's bowling weekly honor

Marian University’s Delanie Vogt has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Bowling Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made on Wednesday following her performance at the McKendree Bearcat Classic, which took place from November 14 to 16.

Vogt began the tournament with a 55 percent strike rate and a 90 percent fill percentage. On Saturday, she averaged 207.6 over five games, placing third out of 120 bowlers. Her fill rate increased to 91 percent, and she maintained a 50 percent strike rate during this block.

On the final day, Vogt recorded a 47 percent strike rate and converted single pins at a rate of 91 percent, leaving only four open frames. Over the course of the event, she achieved a 91 percent single-pin conversion rate, a 51 percent overall strike percentage, and an 80 percent multi-pin conversion rate.

The CCIW also recognized other weekly honorees for women’s bowling in the current season: Miley Brooks from Carroll was named on November 5, and Ava Butt from Carroll received the honor on October 15.
