Lane School Speed Stacking Club wins medals at Wisconsin tournament
The Lane School’s recently formed Speed Stacking Club participated in a tournament in Racine, Wisconsin, on January 24. The event was sanctioned by the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA). Students attended with parents and Mrs. Czerniuk, who oversees the club.
At the competition, students earned 13 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals. They also received 37 additional ribbons for finishing in the top ten across various events.
Anika Shaffer achieved one of the day’s highlights with an all-around score that ranked as the third fastest among female competitors, including both adults and students.
The tournament included individual competitions, doubles partners, parent/child doubles events, and team relays. This provided opportunities for participants to demonstrate their skills in several formats.
Mrs. Czerniuk commented on her pride in the team’s performance: “The TLS club has only been running for just over a month.” She said she expects further improvement ahead of their next competition scheduled for April.
