Jan.-June 2019 Recap: Parolees in Wood Dale convicted of property crimes
There were two offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole in Wood Dale during the first half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that both of the released offenders in Wood Dale were men. The younger parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced in 2016. The other was a 53-year-old man sentenced in 2014.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Paul Maior. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014 when he was 48 years old. He is now 53.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
