Illinois Wesleyan volleyball reaches highest-ever national ranking after CCIW tournament win
Illinois Wesleyan University’s volleyball team has achieved its highest national ranking in program history, reaching number two in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. The Titans’ new ranking follows their victory in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament last week.
The team now holds a 26-2 overall record after securing three-set wins against Wheaton and Carthage to claim their second consecutive CCIW title. Their current winning streak stands at ten matches since October 18. Illinois Wesleyan will host Asbury in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday in Bloomington.
East Texas Baptist remains the only undefeated team in Division III, with a 31-0 record and 82 out of 86 first-place votes, placing them ahead of Illinois Wesleyan.
