Illinois Wesleyan returns to D3hoops.com Top 25 at No. 18

Illinois Wesleyan University’s men’s basketball team has reentered the D3hoops.com Top 25 rankings, taking the No. 18 spot in the poll released Monday. The Titans accumulated 166 points following a stretch that improved their season record to 10-3.

The team's return to national recognition comes after a four-game winning streak that started with a narrow 78-76 win over then-No. 4 Washington University on December 18. Illinois Wesleyan continued its momentum in New York City by defeating Yeshiva, 72-71, on December 29 and Hamilton College, 69-57, last Wednesday.

Back on their home court Saturday, the Titans secured a 72-68 victory over Carroll University in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play, leveling their conference record at 2-2. Their next CCIW matchup is scheduled for Wednesday against Augustana College at the Shirk Center.

North Park University, which also holds a 10-3 overall record, received six points in this week’s poll.
