Unbeaten Illinois Wesleyan University has moved up to No. 6 in the latest D3hoops.com poll, according to rankings released on Monday. The Titans, who are now 5-0 for the season, climbed ten spots from their position in last month’s national preseason rankings.

Illinois Wesleyan received one first-place vote and earned a total of 499 points in the new poll. The team secured recent victories over Wisconsin Lutheran (97-42) and Kenyon (89-59), which led them to win the Albion Tournament championship last Saturday. They also achieved a close 72-69 win against then-No. 11 Chicago last Wednesday at the Shirk Center.

Trinity College (Connecticut) retained its top spot in the poll, holding a 3-0 record and collecting 23 out of 25 first-place votes. The remainder of the top five includes Randolph-Macon, Wisconsin-La Crosse, Redlands, and Washington University in St. Louis.

Other teams from the region, Carthage and Elmhurst, were not ranked but did receive votes in Monday’s poll with 45 and 20 points respectively.
