Hinsdale Middle School sixth graders celebrate Greek Myth Day with educational activities
Hinsdale Middle School’s sixth-grade Spartan students recently took part in a Greek Myth Day, an event aimed at enhancing their understanding of ancient Greek mythology and its influence on culture. The activities were organized to support both the social studies and English language arts curricula.
The day was led by teacher Ms. Donovan and included several educational activities. One highlight was a performance from Great Works called Mytholomania, which drew interest from the students. They also studied stories about Hercules and participated in a craft session where they made paper pots inspired by classic Greek styles. During lunch, students had the opportunity to use a photo booth as part of the celebration.
"The event was a resounding success, bringing ancient history to life for the 6th grade class," said organizers.
