Hanover Park reported 13 licensed child care facilities in 2025

There were 13 licensed child care facilities in Hanover Park in 2025, as reported by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker called the measure “wrong and cruel” and indicated that Illinois could legally contest the freeze, noting that the state already enforces anti-fraud measures. 

According to state officials, the freeze has the potential to impact approximately 100,000 families and over 152,000 children enrolled in the Child Care Assistance Program, along with funding for thousands of licensed care providers and 275 human service organizations in Illinois.
