Graduates earn 771 degrees from Wheaton College
About 12.8 percent of the 771 degrees and certificates handed out by Wheaton College in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Wheaton conferred 50 master's degrees and 43 bachelor's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in business/managerial economics. Data shows the school gave out 73 bachelor's degrees in business/managerial economics, followed by 47 bachelor's degrees in speech communication and rhetoric and 42 bachelor's degrees in general health services/allied health/health sciences.
The college enrolled 2,944 students for 2017-18, including 2,401 in undergraduate programs and 543 in graduate programs.
