Eight student-athletes from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region VIII Team. The honorees represent North Central, Illinois Wesleyan, Elmhurst, and Wheaton.
North Central had the most selections with five athletes recognized. Jordan Lange received her second consecutive First Team award after leading her team with 14 goals, 37 points, and four game-winning goals. Goalkeeper Lily Mattison was named to the First Team for the first time following a season where she posted a 1.01 goals-against average, a .773 save percentage, and set new program records for shutouts. Senior defender Kassandra Salviola earned her third straight First Team honor while contributing to a defense that recorded ten shutouts.
On the Second Team from North Central were Madison DeVriendt and Mackenzie Loomis. DeVriendt secured her second career regional selection after scoring five goals and providing eight assists this season. Loomis started all 22 matches as a sophomore defender and helped limit CCIW opponents to just three goals.
North Central finished its season undefeated in conference play with an 8-0 record, swept the league titles, ended with a 16-6 overall record, and achieved its first NCAA Tournament victory.
