The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Darien rose by $5,000 while total sales decreased by 12.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 74 homes sold, with a median sale price of $292,500 - a 1.7% increase over the $287,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 85 homes sold in Darien in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Darien for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $6,101, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
