Daniel Sams’ Harvard squad shut out 9-0 by Rice in NCAA Division I matchup

At 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, former Fenton High School standout Daniel Sams and his college team, the Harvard Crimson, were defeated 9-0 in an NCAA Division I baseball contest versus the Rice Owls.

Reckling Park served as the venue for the matchup, marking their third meeting with the Owls this season. Harvard dropped the season series without a win.

Sams pitched 1.1 innings, permitting one earned run, issuing one walk, and striking out two.

The Crimson’s next contest is set for Friday, March 6, at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium against the Liberty Flames.
