The campaign committee of committeewoman candidate Karen Yarbrough, Citizens to Elect Karen Yarbrough, returned a $500 contribution from Kutak Rock on July 17, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Kutak Rock has not made any other contributions to Karen Yarbrough in the past 12 months.
