During November, eighth grade students in the A-ELA/ELA classes at Clarendon Hills Middle School (CHMS) participated in a "Real World" unit focused on career and professional skills. The unit was led by English Language Arts teacher Jen Scheuerman.

Students identified potential future jobs, wrote professional contact letters, and created resumes as part of the curriculum. The program concluded with "Real World Day" on December 4, where students took part in mock interviews with more than 50 parent volunteers. This experience aimed to help students practice and apply their academic learning to real-world situations as they prepare for future careers.
