CCIW names Tyler Leslie and Devon Kuhn student-athletes of the week
Augustana College junior Tyler Leslie and Carthage College sophomore Devon Kuhn have been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances in dual meets last Saturday.
Leslie, from Aurora, Illinois, played a key role in Augustana’s victories over Monmouth and Coe. He secured first place in both the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard butterfly, achieving personal-best times of 52.13 seconds and 50.89 seconds respectively. Leslie also contributed to his team’s relay success by joining Luke Rettig, Bjorn Sievert, and Oskar Bannister on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team, which finished with a time of 3:16.50.
Kuhn, who is from Leesburg, Indiana, competed for Carthage on the 1-meter diving board and posted a season-best score of 173.35 points. His performance helped Carthage begin its 2026 schedule with a win over Wisconsin-Oshkosh by a score of 222-76.
The CCIW also provided an updated list of weekly honorees for men’s swimming and diving during the current season. For swimming, past recipients include Ben Coley (Wheaton), Jac Cummings (Wheaton), AJ Landorf (Carthage), Michael Garland (Augustana), and Lucas Rettig (Augustana). In diving, previous winners are Taydin Murphy (Carthage), Zak Kohoutek (Wheaton), and Carson Sehy (Carthage).
