Augustana's Maddy Harned earns CCIW weekly honor for women's tennis

Maddy Harned, a senior at Augustana College from Rockford, Illinois, has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made Wednesday morning.
Harned contributed significantly to her team’s 4-3 win over North Park in the conference opener last Saturday. She partnered with Kassidy Anderson in doubles play to defeat Pia Zitzmann and Jessica Dudas with a 6-1 score. Harned also clinched the deciding singles match for Augustana, winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 against Dudas at the #4 position.
The previous week's CCIW Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week was Alexandra Pugachova from North Park.
