Analysis: Warrenville pays $5.73 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Alsip Firefighters Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 85.2 percent of the $2,073,629 the Alsip Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.73 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Warrenville contributed $1,765,714 to the fund, which saw a $3,265 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $307,846, or 14.8 percent, in 2018. Another $69 came from other unspecified sources.
