Analysis: Hinsdale pays $3.87 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hinsdale Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 80.9 percent of the $998,389 the Hinsdale Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.87 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Hinsdale contributed $807,440 to the fund, which saw a $21,488 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $208,340, or 20.9 percent, in 2018.
