Analysis: Elmhurst pays $5.31 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Elmhurst Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 84.2 percent of the $4,261,735 the Elmhurst Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.31 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Elmhurst contributed $3,586,824 to the fund, which saw a $254,764 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $674,763, or 15.8 percent, in 2018. Another $148 came from other unspecified sources.
