Analysis: Carol Stream pays $2.86 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carol Stream Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 73.4 percent of the $2,322,667 the Carol Stream Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.86 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Carol Stream contributed $1,705,946 to the fund, which saw a $4,775 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $596,224, or 25.7 percent, in 2016. Another $20,497 came from other unspecified sources.
