Addison logs 1 scam report in June
Addison logged one scam report in June 2026, according to Better Business Bureau.
There were no scam reports for the city in the previous month.
The report showed a $50.98 loss from an online purchase scam. The report stated: "I purchased lip balm plumper on, May 17, 2026, which I never received. The company was sent an email from me yesterday asking where my product is I ordered. They replied once to me stating it was delivered which it wasn't! Calivor vera order, #70133. How rude, unprofessional and scammers of a Company."

Fraud reports have continued to involve large financial losses nationwide. The Federal Trade Commission said consumers reported losing more than $12.5 billion to fraud in 2024, a 25% increase from the previous year.
