2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Naperville?
There were 31 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Naperville zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that 29 men and two women were released in Naperville. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ray Dampier. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2000 when he was 20 years old. He is now 40.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
