2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Hanover Park?
There were 17 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Hanover Park zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that 15 men and two women were released in Hanover Park. The median age of the parolees was 31. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Avshalom Z. Chayim. He was convicted of a property crime in 2013 when he was 38 years old. He is now 44.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
