The City of Wheaton announced on May 12 that the Wheaton Alcohol Tobacco Commission meeting, originally set for that evening at City Hall, has been cancelled due to a lack of quorum.

This announcement affects residents and stakeholders who may have planned to attend or participate in the commission's discussions. The cancellation means no official business or decisions will be conducted by the commission until a future date when enough members are present.

According to the notice, the meeting was scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Wheaton City Hall. The city said that without a quorum, it is not possible to proceed with official agenda items.

The notification was issued by Andrea Rosedale, City Clerk, and included reference to Mayor Philip J. Suess and City Manager Michael Dzugan as part of standard city communication procedures.

No information was provided about when the next meeting will be held or if any specific agenda items will be postponed.
