Western Michigan tops Toledo 8-6 in NCAA Division I matchup featuring Naperville North alum Tanner Mally

Western Michigan, featuring former Naperville North High School standout Tanner Mally, emerged with an 8-6 win over the Toledo Rockets in their NCAA Division I baseball contest on Saturday, April 11, at 1:05 p.m.

The matchup, held at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field, marked the teams' second meeting of the season. Just a day earlier, on Friday, April 10, the Broncos dropped a close 3-2 decision to the Rockets.

Mally notched three hits in five at-bats, scored two runs and left one runner on base during the victory.

Western Michigan is set to face the Rockets again on Sunday, April 12, at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field.
