VILLAGE OF LOMBARD: Recycling Extravaganza Returns September 22

Village of Lombard issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.

The Village's annual Recycling Extravaganza is being held on Saturday, September 22, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Avenue. The Recycling Extravaganza will once again allow a one-stop-drop for many hard to recycle items.

The items including books, bikes, crutches, wheelchairs, clothing, reusable furniture/appliances, building supplies, flags, cell phones, eyeglasses, hearing aids, car batteries, latex paint, scrap metal, wood clay/ceramic pots, fire extinguishers and empty gas tanks will be accepted.

New this year will be musical instruments, sheet music and school/office/art supplies. Learn more at villageoflombard.org/recyclingevents. For electronics (working or not), besides TVs and monitors, the Village recommends donating to Goodwill on Roosevelt Road. For TVs and monitors and Household Hazardous Waste, Waste Management provides a free "At Your Door" curbside collection program for Lombard residents.
