Fall events scheduled across Illinois’ 24th Senate District communities

From pumpkin patches to haunted trails, communities in Illinois' 24th Senate District are offering a range of fall events this October and November. Activities include family-friendly trunk-or-treats, recycling events, and Halloween-themed festivals across several towns.

In Bartlett, residents can attend the Halloween Fun Fest 2.0 & Parade on October 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a Pumpkin Smash on November 1 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Bensenville will host Monster Mash on October 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bloomingdale’s Trunk or Treat is scheduled for October 25, noon to 3 p.m.

Carol Stream will hold a Recycling, Shredding & Pumpkin Smash Event on November 1 from 8 a.m. to noon. Elk Grove Village offers a Halloween Fest on October 25 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Other events include Hanover Park’s Trunk or Treat on October 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Medinah’s Halloween Bash on October 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Naperville’s Halloween Happening on October 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Schaumburg will feature a Halloween Spooktacular Pickleball Tournament on October 25 at 10 a.m. Warrenville hosts Fall Fest on October 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., while West Chicago will hold Halloween Festivities on October 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Winfield’s Prairie Trail’s Haunted Trail takes place on October 31 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In Wood Dale, Ghost Stories in the Barn is set for October 25, and a Trunk or Treat will be held on October 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Lewis, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 2023 to represent the state's 24th Senate District, replacing previous state senator Suzy Glowiak.

"We did our best to find a wide variety of offerings," the announcement stated.
