North Central’s Jordan Lange and North Park’s Sofia Svensson have been named Co-Offensive Student-Athletes of the Week by the College Conference of Wisconsin and Illinois (CCIW) for their performances in women’s soccer. North Central’s Mackenzie Loomis was also recognized as the league’s Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.
Lange helped North Central to two conference wins, scoring three goals over the week. She recorded two unassisted goals in a 5-0 victory over Augustana and netted the game-winner against Elmhurst.
Svensson kept North Park unbeaten in conference play by scoring three goals during the week. She scored twice in the team’s 4-2 win at Illinois Wesleyan and added another goal in a 2-0 win over Elmhurst. Svensson provided the match-winning goal in both games.
Loomis, a sophomore, contributed both offensively and defensively for North Central. She scored on a header from a corner kick during the Cardinals’ 5-0 win over Augustana, a match in which the team did not allow a single shot. Loomis also helped limit Elmhurst to just one shot in North Central’s 1-0 shutout.
The CCIW also listed the recipients of the weekly women’s soccer awards for the 2025 season, highlighting student-athletes from North Central, North Park, Illinois Wesleyan, Elmhurst, Millikin, Wheaton, Carroll, and Carthage.
