North Central College maintained its position as the top-ranked team in Division III football following a 59-10 victory over Millikin, improving its season record to 5-0. The Cardinals remain at number one in both the D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) national rankings.
According to the AFCA poll, North Central received all 52 first-place votes, making it the unanimous choice among coaches. The team also secured 23 out of 25 first-place votes in the D3football.com rankings. North Central has consistently held the top spot in both polls throughout the current season.
Wheaton College also advanced in the national rankings after defeating Illinois Wesleyan 65-21. Wheaton is ranked 21st by D3football.com and moved up two positions to number 22 in the AFCA poll.
Washington University (WashU) received 11 points in the latest AFCA rankings.
