Illinois Wesleyan University secured its fourth consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Championship title on Wednesday at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Illinois. The team finished with a three-round total score of 901, recording rounds of 301, 297, and 303.
Sophomore Emily Gastrau led Illinois Wesleyan and earned medalist honors by finishing with a score of 222 (+9) after shooting rounds of 73, 73, and 76. Gastrau is the fourth straight Illinois Wesleyan player to earn this honor at the CCIW Championship. Since 1998, she is the program’s 15th individual champion at the event.
Gastrau was also recognized as a CCIW Elite 26 Award recipient. According to the conference, "The CCIW Elite 26 is presented to the student-athlete who excels academically and athletically at the conference level in each of the CCIW's 26 sponsored sports." Her teammate Grace Fagan also received this distinction on Wednesday.
Carthage College’s Lexi Manteufel placed second overall with a score of 224 (+11). Manteufel was named to the All-CCIW First Team and was last season’s CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year.
Illinois Wesleyan had four players finish in the top five individually. The team has now won its 20th CCIW championship since 2002. Five members—Gastrau, Julia Henry, Gigi Zera, Nora Cerroni, and Fagan—earned All-CCIW First Team honors.
North Central College finished second with a team score of 944. Madison Place (fifth place) and Mallorie Clifton (seventh place) were both named to the All-CCIW First Team. Augustana College took third place with a score of 958. Sarah Bond (ninth) and Riley Kinsella (10th) from Augustana also joined the First Team.
Carthage (962) and Millikin University (992) completed the top five teams. Among Second Team honorees were Millikin’s Ava Hackman and Kelis Morris as well as Carthage’s Mae Norman and Maddie Midgett.

The CCIW RESPECT Award winners included Georgia Holt (Augustana), Tessa Lawson (Carroll), Mae Norman (Carthage), Emily Roberts (Elmhurst), Brooke Erhard (Illinois Wesleyan), Ruby Haegan (Millikin), Aleksa Gizewicz (North Central), Jaliyah Conway (North Park), and Molly Holbert (Wheaton).
