North Central College sophomore Ari Elmayan has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made Tuesday.
Elmayan, from Skokie, Illinois, contributed to North Central's team victory at Aurora University's Spartan Classic. The event took place at the Northwestern Medicine XC Course in Geneva, Illinois. Elmayan finished second overall with a personal-best time of 26:51.
According to the CCIW, Elmayan is the third athlete recognized for this honor during the 2025 season. Previous recipients include BJ Sorg of North Central on September 9 and David Valkanov of Elmhurst on September 3.
