North Central College remains at the top of the national Division III football rankings after a decisive 45-14 win over Wisconsin-Oshkosh, which was ranked #16/#18. The victory marked North Central’s first season opener at home since 2021 and extended its winning streak to 16 games.
In the latest D3football.com poll released Sunday, North Central received 621 points and captured 22 out of 25 first-place votes. In the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll released Monday, North Central secured all 52 first-place votes for a total of 1,300 points.
Wheaton College did not play this past Saturday but moved up four spots to #18 in both major polls. Wheaton earned 153 points in the D3football.com poll and 270 points in the AFCA coaches’ ranking.
Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), also idle over the weekend, received 24 points in the AFCA poll.
North Central recorded 596 yards of total offense against Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
